Thankyou for visiting my little corner of the internet. My name is Paula, the one woman machine behind Calamity Crochet.

Calamity usually means chaos or disaster, it was my nickname growing up because I have a chaotic brain, and I'm incredibly clumsy just like Calamity Jane.

I found crochet during a really difficult period in my life and quickly fell in love with it, there is something so special about making things with your own hands from scratch that just feels a little bit magical.

Hence the name - chaos brought me to crochet and now I love creating everything from blankets, to stuffed animals and fun earrings for my customers and teaching other people to fall in love with crochet brings me absolute joy!
