Thankyou for visiting my little corner of the internet. My name is Paula, the one woman machine, hands and heart behind Calamity Crochet.

Calamity usually means chaos or disaster, it was my nickname growing up because I have a chaotic brain, and I'm incredibly clumsy just like Calamity Jane.

I found crochet during a really difficult period in my life and quickly fell in love with it, there is something so special about making things with your own hands from scratch that just feels a little bit magical.

Hence the name - this business is about joy, creativity, and not taking perfection too seriously!
